I read this book a few days ago, and I've read volume 3 as well, so I know what's going to happen next. I know I said that this review would be up last week, but I didn't have time to type up the review than.

Gore: No (just gross looking ghosts)
Magic: Yes
Romance: A bit, but kind of slow.

Action: I'm not really sure what to rate this
Pacing: 4 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Drawings/Art: 4 stars

Warning, Spoilers
(All my manga reviews contain some spoilers, it can't really be avoided, but it's not too bad, that you would not enjoy reading the book if you read my reviews. There are some things that happen, that I don't mention.

Rasetsu is doing that typical flower thing that many girls do in books and tv, I don't remember what it's called, except that she says, "I will get a boyfriend! Will Not!..." When she gets, "I will," she gets so excited. Yako says it's for kids, and she just gets mad at him. Yako doesn't understand why she's taking this whole boyfriend thing so seriously, he doesn't know that finding her true love is the solution to her problem.
Then there's another client. The chief warns Rasetsu that this ghost will be a tough one for her. When they get there, they don't sense an evil sprit, so Rasetsu doesn't understand why the chief thought that this ghost would be difficult, but Kuryu tells her to be careful, she doesn't listen and we find out why chief warned her. Even though Rasetsu acts like she's not worried about what will happen in two years, she shows that she's still pretty scared, in this chapter, and Yako shows one of those rare moments where he's sweet, he says, "When that day comes... I'll be there for you." He can be so comforting and sweet sometimes. Apparently Kuryu didn't see this, he was in another room. She purifies the ghost and the kid moves on.

In the next chapter, Aoi asks Kuryu why he doesn't have a girlfriend. Then he starts talking about Kuryu's voice. Then Rasetsu gives them a bunch of photos that were sent by a client to be examined. Kuryu decides to test his voice power on Rasetsu. It affects her so much that she falls and lands in a sitting position. Of course she gets mad. It seems like Kuryu and Aoi are either oblivious to Rasetsu's reaction or they ignore it. Then Kuryu decides to try it on Yako, it works and he's so excited. We learn about when Kuryu met Rasetsu two years ago. Rasetsu used to get scared really easily because of the whole evil ghost attack thing that happened when she was 15. She was scared of Kuryu back then, she would always hide behind the chief or Aoi. She was like a stray cat back then, as Yako said. I like how she is now, although sometimes she's mean to Kuryu, and I think that's a bit too much. It's not his fault that he can't be much help. Kuryu messes with Rasetsu again with his power, lol.

In the next chapter, I'm guessing that a day went by. Rasetsu's flirting with two guys and she tells them about her curse (which is so stupid, only an idiot would tell random people something like that), they get scared and run away. Then Kuryu and Yako join her.

A little while later, she's eating cake, apparently she already had 20 pieces and they were all chocolate with extra sugar. While Kuryu is amazed, Yako is grossed out. After all this time, they're still not used to Rasetsu's crazy appetite. She wants more even after all that. Yako's pretty stressed out because he's been doing so much work lately, so Rasetsu suggests that they all go to the amusement park, but Yako doesn't want to until the chief says that there was a ghost spotted there by many people. He's going as well. Yako thinks that the ghost is really strong because the chief is tagging along, but apparently that's not the case. Yako's being such a workaholic, while evryone else wants to enjoy themselves. The rest of this chapter focuses on Kuryu and Rasetsu trying to get Yako to relax, and then they get rid of the ghost that's been haunting the place.

In the next chapter, Rasetsu's having a nightmare, which is what happened to her three years ago with that evil ghost. What she does when she wakes up is hilarious. Then Rasetsu and Yako are teasing each other and it seems like Yako enjoys it this time, while Rasetsu's blushing.

Their next client's son is possessed by a ghost, plus the whole house is haunted. Yako senses the source of where all the evil ghosts are coming from. There are even too many ghosts for Rasetsu to vanquish. She came prepared, the chief gave her some sweets, it's kind of funny what they are. She sits down to eat, while the client is confused, Kuryu explains to her that this is necessary for the job. After she's done, she angers the ghost in order to make it leave the body that it was possessing. Then stuff happens taht doesn't happen typically in their cases. Kuryu does something that proves that he's stronger than he lets on, and Yako realizes this. I'm still confused about Rasetsu and the ghost that looks like her.

This volume ends with Rasetsu bandaging Yako's injuries, and Rasetsu saying that she'll be able to sleep well tonight, because of him.

As I said in my review of volume 1 and probably some other reviews (The Chicagoland Vampires: Book 1 Some Girls Bite), that I love characters eating like crazy, like Rasetsu ate 20 slices of cake in this volume. Even though I've seen the crazy eating in many animes, mangas, novels, and other tv shows, I still think it's really funny.

It's amazing that Rasetsu changed so much since she was sixteen. She's definitely no pushover or passive, and she's funny and strong too. Again, I love her obsession with sweets, it's hilarious, and I love chocolate too.

Overall, I like this manga so far, it's funny, has great and quirky characters, and the plot is pretty interesting.
